The Daughters of the American Revolution in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The Bytown Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution ("NSDAR" or "DAR") was established in January of 1985 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, by eight women at the Residence of the American Ambassador of the United States. In the nearly four decades since, we have welcomed members from Canada’s National Capital Region and Montreal who are committed to preserving history and supporting education about the interwoven histories of the United States and Canada.
